Have tried ryzen master curve optimiser a few times, running per core stress tests it comes back with errors, it seems to drop to -30 on most cores and it’s too low a voltage. Have done it manually and just set in bios, it’s good to quickly test different parameters while stress testing though.

Mine runs around 250w in benches yep but it can crash after 5 mins to 1 hour using the stock voltage curve at around 2600 odd mhz just at stock settings with +15 on the power or rage mode, maybe the cool chip is making it overclock too far at stock, I’d like to up the voltage curve a bit so it...

Just trying to simply up the wattage as iv got custom water and seems a waste to just be pulling 200w. If it is broken now then I guess il have to stop trying and just accept it will only run stock haha

iv stopped people getting AIO's, theyre all pretty useless compared to a noctua NH-D15 air cooler, by the time you get a AIO thats as good as the noctua you might as well get a custom loop >< the do look good with RGB bling but YHMMV :P

Try soc voltage at 1.15v, helps a lot with ram stability and for overclocking. Also check your running at least 1.35v dram voltage initially to rule out that. I'm about to go and overclock a friend's 1600x on the MSI sli plus motherboard which is nearly identical except for the network...

Iv had the same issue with my 980ti on ryzen/windows 10. Only way I fixed it was clearing CMOS and disabling fast boot. Then it happened again and I had to change display port sockets and it works. Very strange, I blame Microsoft, they've made a real mess recently ><

Yeah I got round it by just setting a custom fan curve in precision or afterburner after finding out what % fan speed maxed out the accellero fans. Tbh it's so quiet even at max load it took me a while to notice over the other card in the system :p

I just used the supplied heatsink plaster, left it for an hour in a warm room and then fit the cooler, I used mx4 but then again I always use it as iv got loads of it and I know it works. Nothing has fell off etc, no need to use any thermal pads, I hate them as they're pretty damn useless...

Iv had success at 3.9ghz with 1.35v CPU, 1.15v soc voltage to stabilize my ram overclock to 2933 ( 2600mhz lpx ram). This is on a 1700 CPU, runs cool under a crappy Corsair aio cooler and no issues with good benchmarks. Maybe your vcore is a bit low at 1.28v?? That's quite low for nearing...

cpu and mobo is a good bet, i will need cpu, mobo, ram and cooler but i guess there will be more people wanting the normal bundles. 1700 and b350 combo sounds like an affordable combo ;)

with protools 12 the more cores the better, they've actually Cought up with the other daws in multithreading now thank god :)

when it's released il be slapping one in my studio so hopefully it's good, piledriver was a really good chip for daw use, for the money it's been stellar for the last few years.
