I just got an AOC AG273QX and I had the same problem. Whenever the machine suspended the monitor won't wake up. Weirdly I changed the cable to the one in the box and it works fine. I don't really understand it since it wasn't a problem on the old monitor and they're DP 1.2 cables.
Freebsd was my first *nix distro back when it was version 4.4 or something. I jumped straight in the deep end, learning was fun since I had to reboot into windows whenever i ran into problems to use the 56k dial up modem to fix problems then boot back. Needless to say it took me weeks to setup...
Probably a good idea post your vsftpd config file, are the users setup as real users or virtual ones? If they're virtual, the website root dir needs to have permissions given so that vsftpd can write to it if you know what I mean.
I wouldn't go as far as to say there's no real world difference since that really depends on what you're using it for. As for compatibility the Asus P5Q pro would be fine.
For a boot drive the things you'll be looking for is basically just a fast boot of your OS and perhaps some apps. As everyone's kinda mentioned already, any newish ssd will be fine and you'll unlikely notice much difference between them for the above purpose. If you're doing heavy IO work then...
Yet you don't actually mention what you can afford and what size you want :p
It could be because there's dozens of recent threads on this already but even if you were not to read any of them it would probably be quite helpful if you mentioned a) how much you can spend b) what size you'll want...
"hostlist relay_from_hosts" is just a list of ip / network addresses which exim will accept smtp connections from. it's normal to have 127.0.0.1 in it. The other IP / network addresses could be for your local network so people from other machines from within your network can use the mail server...
I've been using Grado 225s for about 6 years, the quality does feel a bit plasticy but all honestly I can't fault the sound quality. For those who feel the Grados are a bit uncomfortable, grab a Beyer 770 headband pad it snaps right on over the hard Grado band. Sennheiser hd-414 pads are nice too.
Alternatively you can install the liquorix kernel which some nice person has already patched (along with some other tweaks for desktop machines), made the deb files and even setup a repo for you. All you have to do issudo echo "deb http://liquorix.net/debian sid main" >...
It's not super tricky to compile your own. Grab the patch here, then follow the instructions here. Before you run
make-kpkg cleanpatch the Ubuntu kernel source withpatch -p1 < whatever_you_saved_the_patch_as
It'll probably fail and spit out some errors for the bits it couldn't change since...
The latest version on the Ubuntu page is 10.04.1. You'd have to use one of the mirror links to get 10.04. If you installed the latest updates your version will be 10.04.1 as well.
cat /etc/lsb-release
I got nothing, can't help you if absolutely nothing happens. I can't think of anything off the top of my head that would produce no output whatsoever, even if you typed in a completely wrong command it would say something.
Heh ok :D You've not taken in a word of what I've said have you :p you'll be able to check the hardware on your system with lspci, lsusb, dmesg, Ubuntu might even have a hardware listy thing in one of the menus. GL Ed!
