is pcie4 riser the only difference?

anyone else having an issue where the fps drops from 80 to like 20 ish and I have to restart the game to get it back up? temps are fine

I use Blender. Cuda and optix are nvidia only features and sure you can render with opencl with amd cards but that is slow af. Lots of productivity software use cuda.

I have a 3080 but if I hadn't I wouldn't even consider a 6800XT. When dropping this kind of money on a GPU I want it to do more than just gaming. Nvidia has lots of features that AMD doesn't and being marginally faster in non raytraced games is not going to make up for that.

Hello, I'm looking to upgrade my parents pc and wanting a cheaper cpu with integrated graphics. They don't really do anything cpu intensive just regular old people internet browsing and youtube so need something that can hw decode vp9 and hevc. I'd like it to last a few years without upgrading...

S3 Trio 3D was my very first card and then my dad bought me a geforce2 mx400 and that was an astronomical jump in performance. I still remember how jealous all my friends were. Good times :)

I prefer nvidia because a lot of software I use works better with cuda

Installed yesterday and played for about 10 minutes then uninstalled. Not my cup of tea. Too much text to read and too long and boring tutorial ruined it for me. I prefer when games let you learn the mechanics as you go and not everything at the same time.

I don't get the same enjoyment from playing games as I did when I was younger but bought myself New World on steam and can't wait for it to come out. Trailers look amazing so hoping it doesn't disappoint.

I like the silver one but it kind of looks like a mini fridge or a beer cooler.
