Just had a Steam Deck delivered but had no time to tinker with it yet.
My PC game library is split across EA, Ubisoft, Epic, etc as well as Steam itself. What's the best way of getting those launchers on the deck?
I have a 512gb SD card on the way too.
Cheers :)
Anyone else getting a poor quality stream on iPlayer? Using that to watch some of the coverage and the resolution is really rather poor, 960x540 by the looks.
Got it. I have noticed a dip is battery life in the last couple of months but I suppose only to be expected. Is there an optimum point at which I should replace the battery? I have AppleCare plus, and I think they include a free replacement once it goes below 80%?
Ah wish I'd spotted this sooner! I have the Dexcom G6 paired with a Tandem insulin pump and an apple watch. The whole system has been a total game changer for me, and I've managed to achieve my lowest HB1AC reading of 5.4% with it.
The dexcom is a CGM like the libre, and has proper native...
Understood - popped it in another slot (i've left the heatsink off for now for now whilst I test as its a pain removing it and reseating it). Seems okay so far - whats the best way of stress testing? i've downloaded a couple of steam games onto it and seems okay. Give it 24 hrs and see?
Cheers :)
Yes managed to source one, thanks :)
I bump this thread as I installed a second SSD today (SN850, same as the one I originally had), and its causing problems unfortunately.
Windows does recognise the drive, so I initialised it and then the problems began. The drive disappears and then...
If anyone is after one, I just managed to grab a physical copy of the PS5 25th anniversary steel book edition from GAME's website. Very pleased as I thought they'd sold out weeks/months ago. Don't usually splash out on collectors editions but this is a special game / franchise :)
Afternoon all,
I’m looking to get a indoor camera for one of my rooms. I tried using one of the free iOS remote camera monitoring apps on a old iPhone over Christmas and found it great piece of mind whilst I was away.
I’m now looking for something more permanent.
Preferably reasonably...
Apologies for the late reply, been swept up with work and a last minute trip abroad! parts all arrived and I built it under the watchful eye of my friend who showed me the ropes :)
System is running like a dream and seems very stable. The 3090 FE seems to run pretty hot (in the late 70s) and...
Morning all,
Having managed to grab a FE3090 I’m now just in the process of scoping specs and ordering the parts to go with it :D
I’ve had a pc but it’s mostly been used for RTS’ (think total war series and company of heroes in recent years as the specs fell behind some time ago).
Thanks Craig. I’ve done a bit more research and reading around over the weekend and I’ve decided to go for it. I’ll report back :D
thanks again for all the advice!
I've had a look at some of the reviews for the 5000x and they don't seem to be hugely positive. A few mention its a pain to build in, which from my perspective isn't ideal.
I've been browsing cases on this...
That does look nice although I really shouldn't spend any more money :D
I am slightly way of it being tight as I'm keen for it to be an easy (as possible) job getting it together and then upgrading it further down the line. Are there other cases that people would reccommend or are there better...
Thanks so much both :)
I've changed the spec based on those suggestions, then how does the below look? Have I got everything or got any wrong parts? :D
I wouldn't mind some RGB lighting on the case / ram etc, but dont want to pay a huge premium for it either so if its not VFM please do shout...
Cracking. I've been having a look at parts - how is the below as a starter for ten? I've reflected that I'd like to keep my current PC operating so will leave the ram / other bits in there for now. I don't think it makes much difference as the RAM was the only readily useable part.
I'd like to...
Thanks both. If you have suggestions on part combinations that'd be helpful as I'm well out of date!
I am leaning towards a all new build, as I think the only things I could possibly utilise are my RAM, and possibly HDD / SSD, albiet the HDD is a slower mechanical drive and the SSD is a small...
Evening all,
I hadn't been planning on this happening exactly now, but I've been planning to get a new PC this year and I managed to grab a 3090 FE when it came in stock yesterday. I'd never normally go for a card quite this expensive or powerful, but failing any big new GPU releases that will...
