Quiet and Cool, which ITX is it in 2024?

All went well really. My only immediate recommendation would be to get your PSU cables in before mounting it in the case. That was the biggest faff and took quite some time to get right. I've got a big old Noctua NH-D15 in here which fits fine apart from restricting the front fans to being 15mm...

Quiet and Cool, which ITX is it in 2024?

I've ended up going for the Corsair Air 2000D which is probably slightly outside the realms of the the sizes I was originally aiming for, and a leap away in terms of aesthetics but I must put function over form on this one. It has some decent options for cooling (360mm rad or big CPU Coolers...

Quiet and Cool, which ITX is it in 2024?

I've got the Fractal Terra at the top of my list for an ITX build but I'm wondering if there's any others I should consider for a system that could be fairly quiet but also have decent cooling capacity? I'm aware of the Terra having some acoustic issues but hoping I can work around them with a...

Isp's Routing me out of London to Shefield, and they cant do nothing about it!!

The problem repeated throughout this thread lies within the emotive language used such as "felt" or "feels". Connection quality is a tangible component which can be proven with metrics - and logic - and until one posts examples to back up the poor connection "felt" (i.e. packet loss, jitter...

Isp's Routing me out of London to Shefield, and they cant do nothing about it!!

To back this up: I've 0.5ms latency to 195.166.143.136 from London (Telehouse, practically home of the UK's internet). Given there's a minimum 1ms per 62.5 miles round-trip delay (because physics), yeah, that IP isn't on a device in Sheffield. It'd be 3ms minimum once you factor in serialization.

    Anyone using Wegovy?

Best of luck with it, you've got a genuine reason for the "shortcut" here but for others considering it as a method of general weight loss* then please do bear in mind that £200/month over a 12 month course for a statistical 66% chance at a net sustained loss of 8kg after 2 years is actually...

    UK domain reg companies

Seems like they do hike renewal price a bit now, been a couple years since I last had any service with Namecheap but they used to be reasonably priced. Good site for this kinda thing: https://tld-list.com/tld/com https://tld-list.com/tld/co.uk I'll always vouch for Porkbun for domains.

At what point do you call it quits on a car?

£1500? Where did you take it? Seems quite excessive imo. Either way though, the T5 is a solid car for £5-6k, there isn't much movement besides laterally so it's one of those I'd run into the ground. Realistically you're not likely to get a bill like that again unless it's catastrophic.

remote access software - windows - windows

VPN into a "gateway" box and then regular RDP in via local IPs only with 2FA handled by Duo. RDP isn't particularly forgiving for client-to-server connectivity issues though - TeamViewer handles that best but I wouldn't expose it to the internet.

    TSOHost

One might worry history is due to repeat itself with the shoe on the other foot. Hopefully they can pop along and give some transparency/reassurance to the somewhat recent expansion of the Stablepoint World Host Group conglomerate https://worldhost.group/#brands I am generally a fan (and...

Hetzner Storagebox is pretty cheap, or iDrive EC2 - I have 10TB for $100/year with them.
