    Carbon Removal

Would caustic soda do the trick? I used to use it for de-coking 2 stroke kart exhausts and it worked great.

    Big Bike Thread

Decided I want to build a bike now, but I want to go (or stay rather!) with hardtail. I'm on a bit of a budget, and tbh riding rough stuff on a hardtail doesn't phase me one bit. Im still on a RR 8.1 at the moment, and I'm doing stuff that's a bit out of its league. I want a bike that will do...

I went to Gisburn forest on Saturday. After spending ages trying to find the bloody place, I feel somewhat disappointed. There was one single technical downhill section through the forest which I liked, and that was it. The stone slab drop I thought was going to be a lot more than it was. I...

    *** iPhone 5S/5C - September 10th ***

My phone got delivered this morning at 7.20am  I knew it was going to be early, and I had my alarm set for 8am. Luckily the delivery guy rang my mobile and woke me up. Not complaining at all though :D First impressions - this fingerprint scanner is great. My main fear was that it...

Need some help with tyre choice guys, as I've made a noobish mistake :D So I noticed someone local on ebay flogging minion 2.35 DHF and DHR ST tyres, both for £30, used once. They looked brand new tbh. Anyway I grabbed them, as I needed something to replace the rubbish Michelin Country Trail...

** Coming soon ** - High quality Rollei Action Cams!!

I was going to say, I'd be interested in one of these if they come with a chest mount. Any links to example footage so we can see the quality?

Anyone got any riding for the bank holiday weekend planned? Apart from Friday the weather looks good. I had a big off last Wednesday, left shoulder subluxation, sprained wrist, and most of the skin shredded off my forearm. Serves me right for not going long sleeved. The bike was fine! Much...

Help choosing a £500 Mountain bike!

I've just bought a rockrider 8.1. Done 20 miles on it today in Delamere. Brilliant bike, took some abuse. Only bad thing I can say about it is the Michelin tyres it comes with are a bit rubbish in the muddy stuff.

south coast camping near a beach..'spec me a'

Aware you said you wanted to go down south (not sure where you are) but Shell Island in Wales allows you to camp literally walking distance to the beach, which is really nice. The beach is huge as well. No need to worry about driving back and you can enjoy campfires etc :)

    Grid 2

The handling isn't as good no. However me and clan mates have been waiting for a decent online arcady multiplayer racer since GRID1 servers shut down. Whilst it isn't perfect, it fills the gap and keeps us entertained. It'll do I spose :D

You'll be fine. My laptop played GRID1 fine, and plays this one fine also.

    Petrol Boras - Any good?

Looks like you got a good example there. I've got a Toledo 2.3 V5, engine is great, however all my bushes needed replacing when I got it. (Car had 72,000 miles, 03 plate, one prev owner). I booked it in for tracking and the garage kindly shown me the state of them. Rear axle ones were bad. I...

    ***The Vapers Lounge***

The laptop was fine strangly enough, the USB port still works fine! I'm not sure where he got them from, Ill ask him tomorrow. However he's decided to stop vaping alltogether now and just not have anything. I can kind of understand to be honest, its shook him up a little. Those charging...

    ***The Vapers Lounge***

Bit of a shock today. Our housemate was out and had left an eGo battery on charge via USB - as I'm sure most people do. The fire alarm starts going off. I leg it upstairs to find the landing carpet starting to catch fire. The battery had exploded. The bottom had shot off, firing the...

Anyone gone to live in 'random' flatshare?

I really like my house share. There's five of us in total, and all rooms are doubles and have en-suites. Rent includes all bills, sky TV, internet, weekly cleaning of communial areas etc. My workplace is 6 miles away. The landlord specifically asks any potential tenants round for a meeting...

VW Polo Wing Mirror Glass Adhesive

Cheers all, I've just ran over to the nearest garage and grabbed some number plate adhesive pads. If they can hold number plates on then I'm sure the glass will be fine. Will put a G-clamp or two on it overnight as well to make sure the adhesive has a chance to bond in this arctic climate we...

VW Polo Wing Mirror Glass Adhesive

I wasnt aware there were any clips? Looking at replacement glass pieces online, they all look to be just stuck on. I could do with a blown apart diagram of a wing mirror but I cant find one on vagcat. The car isn't here either which makes things awkward :p
