I'm planning to upgrade my current system (ASUS z97 pro gamer MoBo, BIOS updated to v.2203) which runs with a 500GB SATA SSD and two RAID1 1TB HDDs under Windows 7.
I'm want to get a 1TB NMVe (PCI connector is PCIe 3.0x4) and install it via adapter in one of my PCIe 3.0x16 slots, put Windows 10...
After about 5 years its time to upgrade my SSD.
I currently run a 500Gb SATA SSD under Win7x64 plus 2x 1TB HDD's in RAID1
I am using an ASUS Z97 Pro Gamer Motherboard and have upgraded the BIOS to version 2203 after receiving advice from ASUS Tech support that BIOS version 2103 introduced NVMe...
I'm still using a CRT at the moment because I always had problems with eye-strain, headaches etc with flat screens, however haven't looked into the issue for at last 2 years. It appears the problems may have been related to flicker in the background panel.
I'm now at the point of getting a 25"...
As it says on the Box: looking to buy:
Samsung C27HG70 27" 2560x1440 VA FREESYNC 144Hz Gaming Quantum DOT HDR Widescreen Curved Monitor
can I use it with my
Nvidia GTX 970?
Thanks for help
Problem solved - although I had to reinstall Windows and HDD content, OC Tech support was extremely helpful. The guy actually phoned me back at home and talked me through some of the nitty gritty stuff. :)
Overclockers had built me a almost complete system with Devils Canyon i-5, 8Gig 2400 DDR3, 512 Gb Crucial MX100 SATA SSD and ASUS Z97 Pro Gamer Motherboard and Win7 preinstalled.
When I ordered the system I had discussed with OC staff that I had already the Graphics card and a 2x 1T HDD RAID1...
Hi thanks for help, I'm currently using an Abit IP35 Pro XE and will be moving over to an Asus Z97 Pro Gamer Intel Board
If I'm setting to RAID will this affect my single main drive = SSD, which is not a RAID drive ?
Currently I have under Windows 7 the following setup:
Two RAID1 drives (i.e 4 HDDs: Main system drive 560 GB, second RAID1 with 1 TB as data storage)
Now hopefully from Thursday onwards the good people at Overclockers will have built me a new system, with a 500GB SSD as main drive, again...
I'm thinking about building myself a new computer (last one was built by OCUK 5 years ago) and was hoping to use a single new SSD (probably a 520GB with 6gb/s speed) in combination with 2 year old 2*1TB Western Digital Black Caviar HDD's for data storage as a RAID setup (the HDD's only) running...
Yes it was very straightforward once I was able to follow and read your links. I had bought the monitor a few years ago via ebay and therefore never had read through instruction/setup manuals. So I hadn't been aware of the restoration option that becomes available once the monitor has warmed up...
It's fading out, my blacks are more of a dark green now and I haven't found a way to compensate. Lovely monitor but desk space is getting a bit of a problem now as well.
I need a bit of advice regarding my Christmas monitor purchase.
I have had problems with flatscreen monitors in the past, which made me use a traditional Sony FW900 over the last 5 years, unfortunately this monitor is on the way out now.
When trying to use a flatscreen for gaming the...
Thanks,
I'm kind of semi-literate with Computers, the comp was a pre-built and pre-overclocked system, bought from Overclockers 3 years ago, how would I find out if I'm using these particular drivers?
I also updated Windows7-64 regularly, so I would assume that this was fixed or are these MoBo...
I'm requesting some help after a problem I have been posting about in the past ( http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18322005 )
has eaten now up the second HDD in two months.
(Also posted on the Overclockers HDD forum)
The problem is described in detail in the other thread, but...
