I got the Beelink SEi10 in the end. Good value and the product seems really good quality. Wiped win11 and got it running Ubuntu server on the 500gb nvme drive. Popped a 2tb ssd inside for videos and it runs Plex really nicely.

I'm in the same boat looking through a load of beelink specs for a rp4 plex replacement... Got it down to a EQ12 £230 or SEi10 £280 or SEi12 £360. Just slowly going over the specs and reviews really..

Just got into starfield and factorio! The latter I heard about many years ago but thought it was too expensive.. But it was worth the money actually..

Never heard of quad9 until I just read this thread. I'll give it a try, always used google for some reason or another.. Hopefully not a classic case of "if its not broken - why did you fix it..." :o:o

Thanks for the suggestions.. Over time the smell has lessened.. I guess I'll try again with the alcohol but I'm not really willing to pull it all apart even if it's just a few hundred quid..

Thanks. I have heard of them in the past - but because the saturn games didn't work well on my rp4 I never bothered to look into it.. I guess now I will have to.. :o :o

Wow thanks. I skipped to the saturn games and solid 50 or 60fps. Pretty amazing. Virtua Cop brings back memories! I guess I better try and find a RP5 to buy now..

Nice video, shame he didn't mention Sega saturn! I might have to take the plunge.. I keep hearing crazy stats like it's x2 better than the rp4..

Has anyone tried if it's any good for "later" consoles? Specifically the sega saturn.. The rp4 performance was kinda unplayable..

Pretty much the same. Just used the tiny supplied ant with a cheap USB SDR. Get a few planes on it but really it's just on for the free FR24 and FA sub...

I have a 500/500 connection and get about that on speedtest (Hyperoptic). On my tp-link ax50 I have an openvpn server (it's in the router config). I only get about 10/10 when using the connection on my phone (I get 50/20 on 5g). I'm just wondering if this is about what you can expect from...
