    How to negotiate notice period?

Realistically it depends on the position of the business, how close they are flying to the seat of their pants and your relationship with the business itself. There clearly is a reason for the 9 week notice period, realistically it would take 4-8 weeks to find a replacement, factoring in your...

Finally got my dream car :)

Awesome- what are the black pipes coming from the bottom left tank doing? Sat trying to work it out, not meth, not an oil catch tank?

Hi all, looking to start this again as my 3 year old scotch was brutally murdered... does anyone have any seeds they are able to give away?

Post Your Daily Encounter Pics Here

They only made around 100 of those ACs in the first place, that is a very rare spot there. Awesome cars.

    Scary Moment

Damp roads, bad tyres, pulling the handbrake, incorrectly torqued wheel nuts, diesel, oil, sun glare, helium instead of nitrogen in tyres..

    Asking for a raise

Highly suggest the 'add value' approach. Don't simply come in and say that the competitors pay more because a) it sets a bad mood in the meeting, basically it's a threat and b) you don't work there and therefore have no real understanding of those businesses. Clear and concise, well thought...

Car Body Repair / Prep / Painting Tips

Hi Everyone, I'm going to have to embark on a mild amount of rust removal (surface, under paint) and general prep and bringing some parts of the car back to bare metal. This isn't going to be next week or anything, but I imagine it will be partly later this year and certainly next. I've just...

    Spec me a socket set.

    That's a bit special.

    Spec me a socket set.

Decent enough socket set with a standard 3/8" ratchet, all the sockets there are obviously 3/8"s and you even get some extensions! http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/pro23-33-pce-38in-drive-socket-set Half decent brand too and lifetime warantee. But, if you wanted to pay more...

Sold car, what do I do with insurance?

I suppose it depends if you're paying monthly, because that's basically breaking a credit agreement which is a whole other ball game. But, if you've paid it in full, they just have cash there which doesn't belong to them. I'll have the same situation soon when I sell my Fiesta

    Far Cry 3 Thread

I always found the right combination of tracking from a long distance marking everyone, learning their patterns works. The snipers are very often on their own, sat up top where their bodies can't be spotted. Take them out with a shot to the head. Take out the alarms with your rifle if you can...

What have you done to your car today?

Normally quite obvious, either they are snapped or the bushes are pushed out / cracked and horrible!

    Show Us Your Motors!

Had this little guy since Oct 28th: '91 Eunos, has caused me to buy tools and spend much of my time driving around aimlessly. It's also made me very concious of the weather forecast!

How long should a full tank last?

Chives if you've put in £45 that works out as say 35 litres. If you've done 210 miles on 35 litres that's about 28mpg. You should be able to get quite a bit more out of that, it'll just be your driving style / cold weather short trips.
