    Battlefield 4: GTX 760 or HD7950

I'm sure this has been asked countless times already but I haven't found anything on these 2 graphics cards in regards to Battlefield 4. Now the only reason I am asking which would be preferable is because £200-220 is kind of my limit for an upgraded card right now. Specs: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz...

    Asus M5A99X Evo R2.0 Issues

Sadly I can't Use the A_1 dimm slot due to my CPU cooler and the ram not being low profile, so I've had to opt for B_1 and B_2 slots, do you think this will make any difference to performance? I'm not sure if there's much else I can do other than getting a new low profile cooler or maybe even a...

    Asus M5A99X Evo R2.0 Issues

I thought it could have possibly been a bad sensor on either the MoBo or the CPU but apparently quite a few people have had this happen (reading through other forums). As for the ram I believe so? Just installed my new Vengeance ram in DIMM A_2 DIMM B_2 Which seems to be working fine, did have to...

    Asus M5A99X Evo R2.0 Issues

Update I managed to get into windows, all I had to do was reinstall Windows and BAM! Working just dandy :D But now I've noticed my CPU temps are reading as low as 7C or even as low as 5C , have read though that this is to do with the cpu sensor only being accurate during load so it's not really...

Sorry for lengthy post but please bare with it as I am completely confused right now and in need of some help. Received this motherboard today and I currently have 2 issues with it so was wondering if anyone knew the causes? Firstly, I installed the board with my new FX-6300 cpu, which I...

FX 6300 build or Intel equal?

Thank you all for the replies and advice on several components :D I do have 2 questions though: 1. Is there any major benefits to having a 900x/fx board to a 970? 2. If I am going for a ram upgrade too, should I be getting 1600 or 1800mhz ram? Current system I want to get: Thanks...

FX 6300 build or Intel equal?

I simply want to upgrade to faster CPU and RAM with a little overclocking headroom (which I know the 6300 has plenty of). At the moment I'm mainly playing BF3, GW2 and want to play Planetside 2 but am having some bottleneck issues due to the CPU I have currently. I've managed to find the FX6300...

FX 6300 build or Intel equal?

Sadly, as good as this rig is, it's well out of my budget :( Also, I understand that 1800mhz ram isn't really needed but as it's the same price as the 1600mhz for the same capacity, I thought it was a steal xD Thank you for all the replies too, still deciding which way to go.

FX 6300 build or Intel equal?

I'm looking to upgrade from my Phenom II 965 BE and crappy AM3 mobo to a suitable/affordable gaming rig but am wondering which path to take. Budget is around £275 or less. Current specs: AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE Asus M4A785TD-V Evo OCZ Gold 4GB DDR3 (1333MHz) So far I have this But...

MSI GTX 560TI 2GB Overclocking limits

Thank you for the reply and sorry about the image, should be working now :D Some good information, I have been thinking about setting the core clock to 980 and having voltage at 1075 to see if I can make it stable, as I did a bench with the same core but only 1050, got to the end of the test...

MSI GTX 560TI 2GB Overclocking limits

Okay first off, I understand these types of threads are tedious at best but they can be extremely helpful sometimes and I appreciate help where I can get it so thanks to anyone who replies :) Been tweaking settings all day and managed to find something suitably stable, so here are the settings...

OCZ Vertex 1 undetectable? Possible panic mode?

Thank you for the swift reply! The drive is not currently connected to anything, just placed it back in the box hoping to get a replacement. Turns out the drive is almost 2 years old... Although OCZ state that their SSD's have a 2, 3 or 5 year warranty period. Fingers crossed! Will give the...

OCZ Vertex 1 undetectable? Possible panic mode?

I've had the drive for almost year now, working completely fine last night, turned the machine on this morning and the drive is now not even being recognized by the bios. Have tried the drive in two separate machines to no avail so decided to look around on the web to find a solution. Read...

    Thoughts - 6870, 560Ti ...or just wait?

I posted recently about buying a card around the £180 mark, sadly the 2Gb versions of the 560ti and the 6950 are JUST out of budget range. I've decided to wait until March as that is my Birthday and should get some trusty spending money ;) hopefully the new 7xxx series will be out by then and...

    Battlefield 3 GFX between £120-180 ATI/Nvidia

Overclockers are currently selling an Asus GeForce GTX 560Ti DirectCU II TOP for £185.99 inc VAT + a free copy of Battlefield 3. I'm thinking, buy that, sell Battlefield 3 + old gfx card = profit?! Only problem is that its only 1Gb version rather than a 2Gb :/ I'm really hoping that the...

    Battlefield 3 GFX between £120-180 ATI/Nvidia

Thank you for the advice, plenty to think about now :) From what I can gather, Nvidia>ATI @ AA? and ATI>Nvidia @ higher res. I forgot to mention I will be playing at 1080p, and atm with my 5770 (stock) I get around high 40-60fps on medium settings with AA off. With any luck, the higher end 6000...

    Battlefield 3 GFX between £120-180 ATI/Nvidia

Thanks for all the replies :) Most appreciated. A lot of other choices to consider I see but tbh would rather buy a brand new GFX card than a used or refurbished one. Still a choice between the 6950 and 560 but would have to get the 2GB versions in order to make any impact on performance with BF3.

    Battlefield 3 GFX between £120-180 ATI/Nvidia

Sorry, I'm not sure how to configure my trusts on these forums but feel free to send me an email. [email protected] I would love to know where these 2 XFX cards are from? :P

    Battlefield 3 GFX between £120-180 ATI/Nvidia

I was recommended the GTX 570 too by many people but sadly it's a bit out of price range for me. Also, I am yet to find a 6950 2GB version at the £200 mark. Even with a new gfx card I wasn't planning on playing BF3 at ultra settings as I can't stand the bloom and eye candy! So would a 6950...
