The sensors come with an extender that converts to USB2.0. Oculus recommend using additional extenders at 2.0 to avoid overloading the USB controllers on the motherboards.
They have an article on this at https://www.oculus.com/blog/oculus-roomscale-balancing-bandwidth-on-usb/
Other option would...
Tried installing via USB stick but no joy that way either.
Ended up getting around it by installing windows 7 first, then upgrading to 8 with the exact same disk.
I've purchased the asus z87i-pro, intel i5-4570S, 16GB ram and a single Samsung 840 SSD (256GB) in AHCI to serve as the basis of a new HTPC I am building in a streacom FC10.
When attempting to install windows 8 x64 retail disk for the first time I get the following message shortly after...
I've got the filco majestouch ninja (side printed) keyboard with cherry browns, and a Ducky II shine with red leds and also cherry browns. The filco I've had for a few years, the Ducky I ordered from Hong Kong so it's the american style. Good to see OCUK stocking them now.
The filco drank...
I had an old coolermaster atc-201B. It fitted the larger PSU's/graphics cards/cpu fans fine. The only real downside (as someone has already mentioned), is that they only have fittings for 80mm case fans.
You might be able to use a 120<->80mm converter on them, but if I can remember correctly...
Never had one fail. My oldest one, an hx 620, has been almost continually running since I bought it from OCUK in 2007.
Only time I had a problem was after a move, when I lost the bag containing the modular cables for another one of their psu's. Corsair sent me a replacement set foc after...
superfetch/prefetch were designed to overcome the shortcomings of mechanical drivers are disabled by default if you do a new windows 7 install on an SSD.
If you run something like intel SSD toolbox it will actually check that it's turned off and give you a warning if it isn't.
Theres a default windows driver. This works fine. You can change drivers by installing the intel driver package afterwards and it will update. F6 was a holdover where you needed specific controller drivers for windows to recognise it, usually when you were installing onto a special *********...
Does the warthog HOTAS have nickle plating on it anywhere? Got a nickle allergy, had to bin an otherwise good razermat due to the nickle coating on the edge meant that I kept getting a rash on my wrist from resting on it.
Hmmmm, Thrustmaster....
I used to play the crap out of Falcon 4.0 back in the day with my thrustmaster stick and CH pedals.
HOTAS stick + Occulus VR and a copy of MWO:Online or Hawken for super stompy fun.
Filco with cherry browns all the way. I tried reds but didn't like action for general typing which I do a lot of for work.
Sucks that the only cherry-brown keyboards you have are those horrible looking zowie ones. Pastel blue or pink is a bit too metrosexual for me thanks.
You should try...
Depends on the game. 2gb should be fine, unless he's one of these people (like myself) who like running skyrim with various texture packs and other addons. If that's the case then he will likely experience choppiness due to texture swapping with a 2GB card.
Speaking from experience, was running skyrim an a gtx 580 (1.5gb ram). Afterburner told me that VRAM utilized ranged from 900-1548mb though I was experiencing a fair deal of choppiness after the 2k textures and some other mods. The choppiness always kicked in when the VRAM utilization was...
