when overlcocked to same clock speed, 920/930 is better than 860 overall becasue of the triple chan mem

as long as the mobo supports 64 bit processors then yes (775 should be fine)... can get a 3ghz dual core 64bit processor for about £50 second hand

although backwords comaptible, you cant make a drive with a usb2 controller go any faster by waving a wand :)
