What Fan Controller should I get for Antec 1200?

Kaze Server ditto. Had to return the first on because it wouldn't remember it's settings on startup. Second one works very well.

Which next generation is that? ATI? Not out for a while are they? ... it just seems a waste... you could get to 1050MHz which is a 23% overclock, i.e. about the same as a stock GTX480 fermi... but cheaper, and cooler. The 5870 seems like a brilliant cool-running design to me, with lots...

But if you want to use the ASUS in anger at 1GHz the reviews seem to say it has trouble keeping the temp/noise levels down, pureoverclock review: Which was the reason I went for the Vapor-X, but I didn't realise you couldn't overvolt it, now I've got even more buyer's regret, thanks to...

(And you can't overvolt the Vapor-X rev 2) If only a manufacturer would take these good ideas and put them together in one card. Good cooler, that you can overclock+overvolt out of the box, How hard can it be? Anyone want to set up company?!

And I'm stuck on 1.15V :-/ I use that too, with a similar fan profile, 20% at tick over, hitting 100% at 90deg, which it never gets anywhere close to, max 73deg in FurMark I might see if I can get my money back at the shop I brought the Vapor-X from. Or swap it for an MSI / ASUS. A...

80deg? Is that all? That's good isn't it. What voltages are you using? Damn, should have brought a ASUS!

Good advice... Anyone want to buy my Vapor-X Rev 2? Hmm, just spotted the CoolIT Omni GPU water cooler. What's the record for a water cooled 5870...?

Does anyone know of a card that has all three of these: 1) An efficient, quiet cooler like the Vapor-X or the PowerColor. 2) You can overclock beyond 900MHz without flashing to the ASUS bios. 3) You can overvolt in software. If not why not?! What are these guys playing at?

But I guess 930MHz is a 9.5% overclock on stock, and it runs very cool & quietly. So it's not too bad really. And you're not far off the 'fastest-single-GPU-card-in-the-world' It's just fustrating to know it could do more.

You can only overvolt the Rev 1 Vapor-X. (black PCB). The new ones, Rev 2 (blue board) have cheaper components and you can't software overvolt them. Therefore, even though it has an amazingly good cooler, mine isn't stable in FurMark above around 930MHz. Plus I had to flash the bios with...

    Vapor-X manufacture codes

Not sure about that, but if you can find a Rev 1 board, I'd snap it up! Mind you if just want to be running cool in the summer, then stock voltage at 925MHz will be fine I guess.

    Vapor-X manufacture codes

I just brought one too, and found it was a Rev 2. With no way to tweak voltages. Very fustrating. It's still a great card and mine is stable at 925Mhz (I use MSI afterburner). But such a waste! It only gets to around 74°C (Furmark) and 69°C (gaming). So it could go a lot higher and faster...

    GTX285 -> HD5870

I've just gone from a GTX275 to a 5870 (yesterday!), and I'd highly recommend it. You might get around £180 for your GTX280. There's some crazy Nvidia fans out there!

    ***Nvidia GTX480 & 470 reviews & discussion***

I've been waiting for months for this. What a let down! So I've just been down to Tottenham Court Road to pick Sappire VapourX 5870. What difference from my old GTX275. Dirt 2 is brilliantly playable maxed at 1920x1200. Incredible. Also Battlefield BC2 runs like a dream. No annoying...

    Stuttering on Bad Company 2

Oh right. I'll try that. thanks Read so many things about this, there doesn't seem to a definitive answer so far: 1) Turn off HBAO 2) Set RenderAhead to 0 instead of 2 3) Leave buffering to double, not triple. All of which have been reported to sort out the problem. Must be a weird one.

    Stuttering on Bad Company 2

I get the same stuttering problem at 1920x1200. Doesn't matter if you turn down the AA or detail. But it's fine on lower res of 1680x1050 or something. Must be a tweaking issue. I can run Crysis at 1920x1200 ok, so I don't see what this game falls down. I'll try the RenderAheadLimit=0...

Gigabyte EX58 UD5 multiple restart on cold boot

After a bit more tinkering with voltages I've got to 3.9GHz (186x21) with no standby/multi start cold boot issues. Memory is x8 = 1488 Mhz QPI x 36 = 6696 VCore set to 1.33V, (but only seems to achieve 1.28V or so in CPU-Z) QPI/Vtt at 1.35V DRAM at 1.66V temp max at 68°C in Prime95...
