Is it worth my time asking Sky to put me on the 80mb package for the extra fiver? Like I said unsure whether I'd get more from it. BT DSL checker suggests highest speed I 'could' get is 51mb down.

Ahhhh, very good shout and I do remember a year ago hearing some of the openreach guys saying something about the non copper lines above, or something in that area! Makes sense.

Well, hypothetically speaking if I wanted the Sky Max package, 80mb, on a 500mb line I may be able to squeeze more out of it, but the stats would suggest I may not be able to. So my concern is whether my line has any more juice in it, and the 24.8db attenuation seems much higher than it should...

If it helps anyone I just re-negotiated and got £18 for Fibre Unlimited including line rental for 12 months and the Entertainment package for £11 for 18 months.
