    R2 Fractal Temps?

i'm using all fractal fans, 2 on top exhausting (140mm), aswell as a 120 on the back, then 2 120's in the front bringing air in with another 120 below. I'm getting around 60-65ºC when stressing (i7 920 at 3.8ghz) and around 35-40ºC Idle. (Also cooler is a Noctua NH-D14). One thing i notice...

have you tried push/pull on those fans before deciding to buy another cooler? Thats what i've set my NH-D14 to do. (havent got temps, waiting on a component to finish my build). Also, what others said about the D-14...its just gigantic, i spent an afternoon to connect all the wiring to the MB...

    Good memory for OC'ing?

thanks for the info cmndr. I haven't built the system yet coz i'm still missing delivery on one or two parts, and since this will be the first overclock i attempt (i've been reading a lot on the subject the last few days) i wanna be sure that i have hardware that will handle it.

    Good memory for OC'ing?

adrichard, exactly 4 ghz, its what i'm aiming. I presume then that i can get to that speed (teoretically, coz all chips are different) without messing with the memory settings? Thx

What case would you buy with this spec?

argh the 1200 is so damn ugly....i'm liking the look of the CM-690 II but afraid of the noise and room of the case. Can it fit a Noctua DH-N14 ok, and a 5870 (with possibility of fitting another later for crossfire love)?

What case would you buy with this spec?

how is that CM-960 II regarding noise? I was leaning towards a 800d myself (air-cooling) but i've been reading that its not a good case for it. I want something that allows me to get good temps when overclocking but not noisy.

    Cooling advice

thank you both for the replies, i guess i'll go for that Noctua NH-D14. (ugly fans tough, will probably put some Xilence ones there, which are the ones i plan to put on the case.)

    Cooling advice

Hello OcUK. I've been looking at setting up a new computer and am kinda in doubt about what sort of cooling i should go. First, specs of what i'm planning to buy: i7 930 2.8 Ghz (to overclock to 4ghz) Asus Rampage 2 Extreme 3x2gb Corsair Dominator DDR3 ATI Radeon 5870 Corsair...
