Tyre pressure when using Tyre Slime

I use tyre slime in my tyres, such as green slime and weldtite. I am wondering if the tyre pressure should be lower than usual when using them? Reason I say this is the tyre feels overinflated now at the usual pressure I pump them to. For example fronts are usually 5.5 bar, but with the slime...

    Travelling with Projector

I am planning on travelling next month to visit some family abroad. I have a £60 projector lying around in my house which I don't use and I wanted to give this to my family abroad. So my question is I was going to put it in my main luggage, but I'm worried the projector lamp and lens might get...

    S2000 AP1 Fault - Advice required

No need for keys as your not changing the barrel and shouldn't need to reprogram either, but don't quote me on the latter as I'm not familiar with the S2000's system. Otherwise it's a direct swap and a simple enough DIY job usually.

    Type R and VTEC owners

Bigger and heavier than the Accord. The engines are beautifully creamy. Would buy one myself if the tax and running costs weren't so high.

    S2000 AP1 Fault - Advice required

It will be a worn ignition switch, not barrel. The Accord from that era had reported issues with the car cutting out during driving and the fault is worn ignition switch. Which is a simple fix, just buy a new switch and change over.

    Electric Scooters

Anyone else having massive issues with the recall work? Never come across a shambolic company such as SBE, 2 months on still waiting for the scooter to be fixed on the recall.

    Firestick using higher amp plug

Hmm, that doesn't sound encouraging, I do plan on using the extension lead to charge my phone with. It has three USB sockets, so one will have the firestick, the other for charging devices. It's arriving today so I guess there is only one way to find out, the stick is still under warranty.

    Firestick using higher amp plug

Thanks, thought as much, but was concerned after one of my sticks died after I plugged it into an Anker fast charge plug.

    Firestick using higher amp plug

I am looking at buying an extension lead with USB sockets and plan to use the usb sockets to power my firestick as opposed to using the Amazon plug. The USB sockets on the extension lead are rated at 2.1a, the Amazon plug is 1a. I previously had a firestick that died after 2 days, I used with...

    Electric Scooters

Is that to me? Not sure what you mean. My Scooter is going back for recall work, after that I will probably sell as the Police are now fining people, cycled pass two office workers stopped by police on their scooters and being what looked like tickets. Not worth the risk, stupid laws need to be...

Mortgage, Credit card and credit rating

Thanks for all the helpful replies. Seems like mixed opinions. I should have mentioned I already own a property which is going on the market soon. When I bought that I didn't have any credit score, so had to pay double deposit. I'm worried this will happen with the new property I'm hoping to buy...

    Electric Scooters

So.. I bought a M365 scooter not long ago and finding it enjoyable to use. I do feel a bit vulnerable and out of place on the road at times, but got used to it. It is really a good way of commuting and nipping around the city and if you have cycle lanes it is ideal.

Mortgage, Credit card and credit rating

I will be looking to buy a house soonish but my credit rating is average, mainly due to the fact I have never had a credit card nor even a mobile contract. Will this have a big effect on getting a mortgage? If so is it worth getting a credit card now and using it to try and up my credit score?

ULEZ - Ultra low emission zones for central and inner London

Not sure if anyone's been following the news recently but there are two new proposals that will get approved. - Heathrow Airport will introduce a ULEZ type system - Once the 3rd runway is built it will ban cars entirely and everyone will need to use Public Transport - London to introduce 15mph...

ULEZ - Ultra low emission zones for central and inner London

This was the point I was making. I can't drive my 20 year old car every now and again which I know for a fact produces less Nox than a brand new Range Rover V8, who can drive his car around everyday. Who is creating more pollution? An older car with less Nox driven 2000 miles a year or a new...

    Old car brochures?

I had loads couple of years ago, including one or two special edition brochures (sample interior materials, 3d images etc), no one bid on them, ended up chucking the whole lot away which was a real shame.

Honda Civic Mark 7 Wishbone bush split

Easier & cheaper to just replace the whole arm rather than the bush, a lot of garages don't even want to change the bush. misterauto is usually my go to place these days, good brands, i fitted Moog wishbones on a Honda while back, they were cheap & ok quality, not the best but do the job, main...

Newbie driver about 20 zone vs 20 limit

20 means 20, there should be signs. Anyone who lives in London, some places are now blanket 20 e.g. Hackney, in certain places they now have 20mph speed cameras (Leyton) and a lot of people have been caught out.

ULEZ - Ultra low emission zones for central and inner London

Some one has to live a very sheltered life to be so dismissive and obtuse of what a lot of people struggling financially live like. The ULEZ will come into force in A406 boundaries, a lot of the area is full of people who are not well off & just about get by. People might be able to afford to...
