As an all rounder, my current 2010 Audi S5 Sportback. Fuel consumption aside, it does everything I need and more.
The car I "learnt about cars in" and I would still buy a pristine one now, was my Nissan Primera GT LE. Only 147bhp, but that gearbox was superb and the handling was insane. Learnt...
Well to update.
Subs: 2070
Views last 28 days: 196k
Subs last 28 days: 82
Watch time last 28 days: 1.4k hours
My total views now for lifetime is 1.44million. Not bad considering I only hit million at Christmas.
Aim for year is 3k subs, 3million views total.
I have 3 levels. £2.99, £4.99 and £21.99 (I think?). The first two are just to support me. The expensive one means you get to dictate my next game I play.
I don't want to restrict my channel at all so doing a "you get to play with me" or "you get exclusive access" is a thing I am not interested in.
I want to setup a patreon at some point but honestly, I don't feel that people would do it. I have 4 members on YouTube currently on 4.99month, and even this surprises me lol. I feel I need to grow first before I ask for anything more.
A mate of mine has 42k subs and it's been that number got about 12months. He had a massive surge a few years back due to a video that went viral, but since then he has not had the same success which is a shame.
Does show though that high sub count is only part of the puzzle.
The amount of things I put into my "Watch Later" and then a few weeks later I spend hours watching it all is stupid!
I started a lets play of Skyrim last night, which will be my long play for a while. Cliche I know but I enjoy it. Halo 3, Quake 2 RTX and Grim Dawn will be played on the side so...
Subs are at 1989 right now.
Year one was about 200 subs,
Year two was about 700 subs from what I recall
Year three was around 1800 subs, and its grown to almost 2k in last month
I am still surfing North of 200k views in 28days, although this will drop I think soon. On 113 subs in last 28days too. Hoping for 2k subs by Feb 1st, but unsure.
Hit 205k views in 28 days today. I didn't think it was going to happen as thr trend was going down, but thankfully it picked up again.
Still trying go get those subs in though.
I do have a concern that the games I buy now in years to come will no longer be playable. Whether that be DRM issues or the service provider shutting down.
There is a website somewhere (can't recall the name of it sorry) where it has an ever growing list of films, music and games that simply...
I have thought about it but in the 2 years of streaming this has only happened 3-4 times to be fair.
Also, monetisation from streams and ads on the streams are far more valuable than VODs I have read. Unsure on the details though.
They demonetise the whole video, but I have options. I can cut out the part, I can mute the part, I can accept it and leave it demonetised, or I can argue my case. I have argued my case.
If I loose, I'll revert to just muting that part.
Got to hate automatic demonetisation on streams. 2hr stream demonetised due to about 2 minutes of background music in the game. Inwas talking and playing the game at this point too. I have argued my case but not hopeful.
Recently replayed Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Half Life. Loved them more than most modern games. Of course there are games released recently that I have really enjoyed, but the majority of games I will remember and recall in thr future were years ago.
Recently replayed Return to Castle Wolfenstein, with an ultrawide mod and Venom mod to make the textures and shades look a bit more modern.
Still holds up today. Yes the cut scenes are cringey, but honestly the gameplay is fantastic still.
