8Packs no BS testing Intel 8700K and Z370 with Delid 5ghz and above available from OCUK.

+1 to what RXSyd said. A bit more information on the ecommerce page would be useful, and not an unreasonable request (certainly didn't warrant such a snarky response).

    Corsair H80 problems

I've just returned my new one. Check the corsair forums, seems you are lucky to get one that works well. Did you also plug the 3 pin fan cable from the pump unit onto your mobo cpu header? It's not clear from your post.

    i7 920 OC advice

Get on Google mate. There are some thorough guides out there. Once you get into tweaking more than just the standard stuff you can get some really high clocks without pushing the vcore up too much ;) The 920 is a beast once you appreciate that you need to tweak lots and not just the standard...

    Which Quiet 120mm Fans?

Nexus real silent case fans are great and very cheap. They are the reference fan for silentpcreview which says a lot. Noctua do a high cfm pwm 4 pin for cpu/rads that are great too.

    My system lost it's OC?!

My gigabyte board does this regularly even on a fresh battery. Its a very buggy board. Maybe a little gremlin in yours? Worth checking the manufacturer's forum.

    680 massive OC on air

Kingpin does a lot of custom modifying. I believe this was a means of demonstrating what is possible on the gpu. So hopefully we'll see a new version of precision x soon ;)

[Rumour] Faster Ivy Bridge chips in Q3 2012

I heard a while ago that the heat problems (IHS issue aside) of the IB were owing to a fab issue that they couldn't sort in time for release which meant they needed more volts internally than they were originally designed for. Either way, gone for a 2500k and hoping that IB will go at least...

    i7 920 to Ivy Bridge : A worthwhile upgrade?

My D0 runs stable at 3.9 on stock volts. Still don't get the rubbish overlclocks some are getting, regardless of them being C0. Makes me think something other than the CPU is wrong. Bios, nubje oc settings?

    i7 920 to Ivy Bridge : A worthwhile upgrade?

oh, and wtf is with those **** 920 overclocks??!!! jeeez! why are they so very very very bad? what problems did you have?? 3.8GHz is piece of **** on almost any cooler and 4.2GHz is usually considered standard for a 920 with reasonably decent cooling.

    i7 920 to Ivy Bridge : A worthwhile upgrade?

I'll be upgrading in the next few weeks, once prices have settled down a bit on the SBs and gfx cards. Probably gonna go IB and a 680 regardless, unless the 690 looks sweet. I would hold on for the 7990 but I am not expecting much from it unfortunately. The prime reaosn for my upgrade is that...

So who wants to be the first to try lapping their IB?

I plan to lap as I have a spare lapping kit laying around and ytf not? :p Besides, I don't look a million miles away from the gimp-in-waiting picture above

    Ivy fail

The best OC analysis of IB so far: http://www.anandtech.com/show/5763/undervolting-and-overclocking-on-ivy-bridge Not quite sure how this release can be classed a "fail". 4.5GHz on stock volts. Max OC may well not be as good as SB but it depends on what you are looking for out of your...

    Upgrade from i7 920 D0

Its about managing your bottlenecks. I see benefit right up to 4.5 on my 920 with sli 480s. with single card there doesn't feel much benefit over 4GHz tho

    Project: Virgin Enthusiast Build

I wouldn't worry mate. Most are happy but they have different models, socould just be their 1200w unit. They are a german company and after many attempts I got handed over to a UK guy on the email who seemed pretty useful. Others have a a good service from this guy. I think they/he started...

    Project: Virgin Enthusiast Build

I'm sure they are, that's why I went with them. After 2 faulty units and appalling support, I can only disagree now!

    Project: Virgin Enthusiast Build

Nope, the BeQuiet replacement was even noisier!!! BeQuiet did humour me with some emails about a month ago but then never got back to me. They weren't happy I proved their PSU was grossly out of noise spec and that they had made up their figures!!! Never going near them again.

    Project: Virgin Enthusiast Build

It's all good. Mobo block went on really well. Even fitted a new PSU!!! The OCZ one I wanted wasn't available anymore so got the zalman heat pipe 1000w from OCUK. Notably quieter than that crappy BeQuiet that's caused me so much frustration. About 10dB quieter and much much less tonal in...
