GUIDE: Get the FOV of eyefinity on a SINGLE MONITOR!

Yea and I got it to work in Window mode but I dont care for playing like that.

    Catalyst 10.6 Released

Is it really so much to ask for a small check-box [X] "accelerate flash" in the drivers? Been with Nvidia the last two gen but we found driver installs over the top of the old usually work fine except for times like: -the drivers had significant architectural or feature changes in them -if you...

GUIDE: Get the FOV of eyefinity on a SINGLE MONITOR!

Works fine the 1920x720@60 showed up in BFBC2. However, I then had to hunt around for a way to get ATI to let me use "fixed aspect ratio" with my HDMI 1080p. After I got that sorted with ATI GPU Scaling Fix v1.1 www.ultimate-filez.com Then I found my new Asus ms238 LED-LCD only has...

    Catalyst 10.6 Released

used 10.4,10.5,10.5a,10.6 all in the last few weeks with eyefinity 5040x1050 (I think) BFBC2 and a few others. No problems. If I have more then one monitor plugged or O/C in idle core goes to 400. I use GPU observer from here to keep an eye on it. blog.orbmu2k.de Edit: forgot to mention...

    E8400 to i7 920 upgrade?

I faced a similar dilemma with an e8400 a few months back, But ddr3 ram prices were stupid and I had a nice 775 motherboard and 8gb of ddr2. So I grabbed a q9400 o/c'd it and will use that until I can get a new socket 1155 32nm quad sandy bridge for 250-300$ around March. Hopefully by then...

    Asus Ring stand adapted

I like the ring stand but I wanted something more sturdy and with a flush 0 angle for my eyefinity setup. I started by tinkering around with a can of soup an old book and black duct tape. I did not want some permanent Frankenstein deal. When I am not in eyefinity I am quite happy going...

ATI 6000 series, possibly by end of year!

My ti4400 came with 3d shutterglasses even then CRT with 120hz were rare but growing but then LCD came along and derailed the train for sometime. and LCD have only recently become feasible again for 120hz.

Very happy with new HD5850 but confused about Eyefinity & max rez!

np, I was an eyefinity noob two days ago. It takes some hunting around. Until recently I think all the options were like a 100$+. It is worth looking around for more options. If you find a thread that is 6 months old a lot of the info may be out of date...

Very happy with new HD5850 but confused about Eyefinity & max rez!

One of your monitors has to have display port native or you have to buy an expensive "Active" adapter to convert the display port to something else. You can only simultaneously use 2 of the 3 DVI-DVI-HDMI.

ATI 6000 series, possibly by end of year!

Frankly rather then Eyefinity since 3 screens is overkill for my tastes I would be happy with monitors that come with "double wide" two 720p or 1080p panels next to each other with just a tiny line down the middle but not two plastic monitor borders like we have now. The reason we have to jump...

ATI 6000 series, possibly by end of year!

I am like 99% certain that ATI 6k will upgrade UVD2 to UVD3. Maybe it will be a big step but really uvd1,2 covered a lot of territory there is not a lot left to accelerate in terms of blu-ray decoding. Unlikely but my hope is that UVD3 will have things like native hardware for dvd,flash,mp4...

ATI 6000 series, possibly by end of year!

I have heard rumblings of a minor architecture tweak in g104 460 could make a mid-range card people aren't scolded as fanboys for saying they own. It is apparently not the much rumored fermi 2 arch more like fermi 1.5. Usually card makers bend over-backwards to pretend their mid and low range...

Thinking about upgrading to a 5870

I just picked up a 5870 on an open box buy for 310$ Got today and its furmark stable and runs fine so I am a happy camper. Gonna grab all 3 monitors in my house and hook it up tomorrow for some awesomeness! I love this particular cooler even at 50% fan speed I cant here it over my 800rpm-...

    5850 on the way...

As an owner of a gtx 260/OC (almost 200Watt TDP) and a 5850 thought Id comment real quick. Unless you "play"furmark a lot your actual power consumption will be even lower on current ATI cards. I have heard a lot of theories and explanations but regardless if you want an idea of gameplay TDP...

5850 vs 5870 or wait a few months

http://www.fudzilla.com/content/view/18956/1/ "ATI is still preparing a next generation 40nm part to launch in late 2010 as 28nm from both Globalfoundries and TSMC won’t be ready before first half of 2011 and even then its questionable if they can pull some good yields. Nvidia’s next...

DFI blue bar bios hang solved disconnect fans

Yesterday got a DFI LP DK P45-T2RS PLUS during an open box buy of 80$ to tide me over until sandy bridge as my IP-35 was dying piece by piece and my 8gb of ram and default voltage 3.6ghz R0 Q9400 can still hold their own. When hitting delete to enter DFI bios it would hang with a blue bar on...

    OCZ vertex funky speeds

What a great explanation thanks. It really is a speedy drive. It loads games so fast its like watching TV but now with 3 second long commercials. I feel better now knowing the appearance of the funny performance in benchmarks is more a side effect of the dynamic compression/trim algorithms...
