Acer Nitro XV273K stuck in 144 Hz mode

My Acer Nitro XV273K is stuck in 144 Hz mode. How do I disable it? The XV273K was an early 144 Hz 4k monitor and it enabled 144 Hz by using two Displayport cables. I was running it in 120 Hz mode on a single cable. Now I have the monitor attached to two separate PCs and find that the monitor is...

So I'm looking for a new monitor, 1440- 144hz or higher, IPS panel with good color reproduction, I would go for the LG 27GL850 however this is out of stock in the UK unless I want to pay a premium on top of it. I've done a lot of research on these but I can't make a decision, so out of these...

    Is an i5-6400 a bottleneck?

I currently have an i5-6400 with a GTX 1060, I have a 1440p 144hz monitor though so I was considering to upgrade to a RX 5700 XT. Is the i5 gonna be a huge bottleneck and should I replace it as well while Im at it, or is it going to work relatively well?

Single ultra wide versus 3 monitor surround question?

Couple of years ago I had a triple 27" setup and loved the extra screen real estate and the odd game that supported it was amazing. Desktop multi tasking was second to none. Upgraded to a single 40" monitor and also loved it but the back light died just now and it's out of warranty so now...

    Linus demos Asus PG27UQ - 27" 4K 144 Hz HDR 1000

Drooling already? Watch this: Apparently the delay, he says, has mainly been in getting HDR and Gsync to play together. For me, the most interesting tidbit was that above 98 Hz you start to lose features. That's a real negative for me.
