my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard

Anyone got any favourite way of making theirs? Im a bit new to the game, and was under the impression whole Jersey milk, sugar, some vanilla essence, a frozen banana should give something smooth and creamy. (mixed with some unflavoured protein)
