    Bug attack!

    Some kind of Dragonfly I assume. It's about 4" long. The cats have spotted it, so if it wasn't endangered before it is now.

    Nuke from orbit?

    Found this sort of egg sack/nest thing outside by my back door. Anybody know what's going to spawn and inevitably devour me in my sleep? Edit: Looks like Vapourer Moth eggs. Source: http://abugblog.blogspot.com/2013/09/the-weird-and-wonderful-vapourer-moth.html No fire required.

    Identify this thing

    I suspected a queen wasp but I’m not sure. I’ve never seen a queen wasp lay on its back tripping balls. It got up and flew away after I tried to talk it into moving on. Hornet? Buzzard?
