He must be a chav... err. Yo

Or maybe I just like the films.

I quite like watching the films because they have nice cars, and it is action-packed; this is usually what I like in a film. (My favourite was "The Fast and the Furious 3: Tokyo Drift", but without the others I could not fill the list up).

Forgot about those 2, especially Magnolia

Although thinking about it now, perhaps Boogie Nights over Magnolia, although the subject matter of the film puts some people off, it's a great film with some excellent characters. :o

I personally think you should watch more films if you think those are the best cinematic experiences around.

I've only picked relatively modern ones and completely missed out the likes of '12 Angry Men' or 'Psycho' which are fantastic films. It's really tough trying to pick just 10, and then you go and pick 3 of the worst examples of big budget films to come out of Hollywood...

I personally think you should get off his back, if he thinks they are great films then that's his choice as they gave him what he was looking for in a film.

I'd agree with you if this was a 'post your favourite 10 films' thread, but it's not. This thread is about films you should see before you die, and as such i cant even come up with a list of 10, barely a couple in fact. As enjoyable as The F&F may be, even the guy that posted them should realise they're not 'welcome' in this thread. I watched Snatch the other day, the first time in a long while, and that confirmed it as one of my favourite films. I'd never dream of putting it in a list like this though.

I'm surprised you can't come up with 10. Surely you've seen some movies that had a bigger impact on you than most movies? Someone recommended "In America" to me last night. I watched it this afternoon and my life was better and more happy today because of seeing such a great and uplifting flick. That's what I'm, and perhaps most of us, are after.

My secret mountain base!
The Shawshank Redemption
The Green Mile
Platoon
Runaway Train
Excalibur
Near Dark
Road to Perdition
Goodfellas
Life is Beautiful (La Vie Est Belle)
Go Tell the Spartans
Schindlers List

11 but I couldn't decide which one to drop after I had cut the list down a bit.

Not my 11 favourites films but 11 films I've seen that I think everyone should watch at least once.
