1gig or 2gig

sorry if this has been posted before but i hav'nt seen a definitve answer
( lol )
question 1
do i buy a good 1 gig or with roughly the same money buy 2gig
( will the do the same job or will i tell the difference in price with lower performance )

question 2
do i buy 1gig now then another 1gig later ( windows vista in mind ) but being a different brand of stick
( being different will they perform aswell being matched ) ???

Buy a cheap 2gig set, there's some bargains around, the extra memory will count more in newer games than 1Gb thats faster.

if you dont overclock just get the cheapest available, heatspreaders and the like youre only going use when overclocking
