This series just isn't "grabbing" me and keeping me interested :( Can't quite put my finger on what's lacking - maybe it's just unfamiliarity (I've followed F1 religiously since 1993), or sometimes I feel it's slightly unprofessional (eg, the pitstops). I don't know...
I can't stand having to listen to John Watson either (Ben Edwards is brilliant though). John Watson and James Allen need to be made allergic to microphones, and quickly.
And the "Gentlemen, please start your engines" speech just iiritates me for some reason.

 :(

I know what you mean - it is however superb racing.

I think part of it is knowing that all the cars are the same - there's no innovation like there is in F1 - seeing whats changed from race to race.

Also you can't follow a single driver - there's no guarantee that he will be in the car at the next race.

It also has no history - thats part of the feel of F1 as well.

It's slowly attracting me to it though - just for the racing alone.

I must admit I'm getting more and more into it. :)
Same here :) I've followed F1 for about 10yrs now and have grown used to the lack of overtaking etc.. after see the first few races of the A1 GP though, it really shows F1 up. It's great entertainment watching the cars drifting and sliding, rather than all glueing exactly to the racing line! :D

Wow, this was the first A1 GP I have seen and it looks very interesting, I like the boost function, slipstreaming and overtaking, slicks, no traction control and no ABS.

Just a shame Jos the Boss is up to his old tricks of crashing the car, Jos, it doesn't mater how fast you are, you need to finish the car you numpty :(

F1 will get hurt by A1, lets hope they pick up on the good points and make the right decisions for F1 like no more traction control, boost button and slicks
