Really quick by the pole sitter, have to wonder why ITV dont show it live though :(

Because it would cut into the programming time for other more profitable stuff. Like...Coronation Street or the latest reality tv crap.

Stupid thing is - they have the rights to show Qualifying 1 and 2 live *even though they sometimes show us Qualifying 1 several hours after it's happened.*

Flibster you are a compliment to these fine forums with your grand prix coverage. I'm sure I'm speaking for many on the board when I say I am very thankful for it!

One of the biggest problems with San Marino is that it's traditionally a seriously dull race.

Ever since 1994 they've made the too safe. Typical FIA knee-jerk reaction.

As for the cost cuttin features they want to introduce....Going form a 3.0 V10 to a 2.4 V8 - so a totally new engine configuration with zero previous data.

Like thats going to be a cheap thing to do.

They'd have done better introducing a rev limit or a power restriction. Shrink the airbox again or restrict the exhaust size.

As for the testing that Ferrari have done - 9 teams agree to do only 30 days a year - Ferrari have done 21 days this month alone!

Also in the new Concorde agreement Ferrari have the power of veto over any suggestion that is made. So if someone suggests something that the other 8 teams agree with and Ferrari doesn't - it doesn't go into the rules.

Like thats a good idea.

Hello??? Anyone else there?

This grid walk is a good laugh today. :D

Webber having a go at Brundle
Brudle trying to interview Roberto Carlos - who doesn't speak english..and saying that he'd rather interview his girlfriend - and I don't blame him there. ;)
Brundle having a go at Bernie. :D

Aaaah...comic relief. :D

I understand that it is F1 testing at SIlverstone on Tues, Weds and Thurs this week. I think Im probably going to go along on one of the days. Anyone have any ideas/rumours about which teams may be up there?

Many thanks
