    Hi,

I tried forcing the refresh to 75Hz in the ATI control panel but the monitor automatically changed it's resolution to match the refresh.

I know it works if a game will allow refresh rate override in it's options. I got COD2 to run at 1680x1050 @ 75Hz. You may be able to do it for everything else by forcing it with software but I'm not sure what will work.

Why do you want to change the refresh rate?

I think the higher refresh rate cuts down on graphics tearing in games. Vertical sync will get rid of it but I think games are then limited to 60 FPS max.

without vsync on i get tears n rips, with vsynch on at 60hz playing fps style games results in a mouse lag. 75hz should get rid of all tears. Im used to playing qwith ym crt at 140hz :(
