2gb is becomming the minimum now days, plus there a reasonable price.
Should really have changed the ram a while ago but never had the money :(

Should let get at least 2.4 -2.5 out of the venice which is nice

Well I can heartily recommend the ZX - very nice timings on it, and it can easily do an extra 10-20MHz whilst keeping the timings good (with a nice divider, this will let you really push the 3000+).

This was my first experience with G.Skill, but am very impressed. I intend to put 2GB of G.Skill ZX DDR2 in my Core Duo 2 rig.
