Its worn out then, and no doubt his cable has dried out too? The HDI I dont think you'd actually know was diesel so much when you are driving around in it.

I have seen this place on the internet that specialise in ECU remaps. Apparently they can get 120bhp out of the HDi.

You can get simple plug in boxes for them from the dervdoctor or similar.

screw mod involves adjusting the mechanical fuel pump to increase fuel going into the engine and therefore increasing power. you cant do this with the HDI as the hdi is ECU controlled and has electronic fuel injectionso this can only be altered by a remap.

You also need to increase the boost to go with the extra fuel. Up to around 18psi max iirc.
