Well, thanks to @mickyflinn, I now have another £45 off the cost of the cpu which brings it down to a very VERY reasonable price pre the next gen coming out later this year

My code lasts till end of october so I am waiting to see how much 3900x price drops. If significant then why not. 12core is going to be plenty for me and my hobby video and photo editing. I don’t play AAA games so ain’t chasing every frames.

but if the zen 3 is reasonably priced ie 4/5800x 8c16t part that’s release around 380 or less then it is really tempting for me. 20% improvement is not something to be sniffed at and it will also prevent me from seeking the next CPU on AM4 platform.
