4GB or 3GB

ok just wondered whats going to be better i presume its 4Gb but thought i would ask....

it would be 3Gb of matching pc2-6400 ram in 1Gb sticks or.... 4Gb with the same ram but a 5600 1Gb stick aswell? wasnt sure if the different speeds may have an adverse affect on the overall performance

double check your mobo manual - some mobo's do no like mixing ram....

iirc it would run at the lower speed (5600) if all4 are ok in the mobo.

I ran 3x1gb sticks with ease, however my 8800gt will not play ball wit 3x 1gb sticks, so back down to 2gb, and im on the look out for another stick of matchng 1gb ram.
