Ive had 50mg installed and use things like RS and MS sometimes using torrents and get very poor speed

i often have issues with the internet beeing off in the mornings and sometimes dropping out at other times of higher usage, the modem is always ok and never needs rebooting.

So im thinking i need a differenet router, but do we go with a new one or a small pc to do it what sort of pc is capable of dealing with it in an improved way for the cost of it?
