Because I found the seats on the M Sport really uncomfortable. The gap between the thigh bolster and the seat itself puts me off the M Sport much more than the additional cost.

stig said:i really feel that the 520d will be serverly underpowered for the weight of the car , when i test drove mine i tested the 525d and thought it was just about enough , which is why i chose the 530d, if you must get it please try and get the zorst chrome cover!
Oracle said:8.6 seconds to 62 is certainly no slouch! The car weighs approx 1.6tons, so thats pretty impressive, but yes, I agree, get a 6cyl diesel you'll be laughing

NickXX said:But you can move the thigh bolster back so that there is no gap.
Sadgeek said:Yep you can, but that defeats the purpose of having it move forward.
With long legs the additional support is welcome.
NickXX said:Yeah, I think they're totally pointless unless you're 6'6" - they do look good when extended though .
My car didn't come with cup holders, so I leave the passenger support extended - works particularly well at holding waterbottles in place if you lie them down in the gap
