    Don't think so, at least not EU competitors.

    About as expected then, £109ish for the 50, £130-39ish for the 70.

    Excellent.

    Just need to see some official benchies now.

    Yup I saw someone accidentally leak a launch price the other day and they had the 5770 for 130 quid

    How will they compare to the 48x0 series?

    From the specs they should be as fast/faster than the 4870/4890.

    Just wonder when we will see first benchmarks. Is there any date set by AMD

    I reckon the 5770 will be 4890 performance, when you take power consumption into consideration and most likely awesome overclocking, it will win :)

    I base this on the fact that it has more SPs, ROPs, and TMUs.

    Only thing it's lacking is the memory bandwidth department, but I don't think this will cripple it too much

    No certain date but rumour all say between 12th and 22nd so it is out in time for the Windows 7 launch.

    Also the benchies that show it just barely sqeezing past a GTS250 look like complete bobbins to me, how can a card that is clocked higher, has more shaders, more TMU's, and more ROPs than a 4870/4890 only be as fast as a 4850/GTS250.

    The bandwidth (from the 128bit bus) won't limit it that much, especially when its memory stock clock is 1GHz+ over the 4870.

    4850 = 256bit (32bytes) x 2GHz = 64GB/s

    5850 = 128bit (16bytes) x 4.6GHz = 73.6GB/s

    4870 = 256bit (32bytes) x 3.6GHz = 115GB/s

    I think the benchies were for the 5750 not the 5770.

    Benchies were for 5750 which has less TMUs and only 16 ROPs apparently.

    Also it looks like the 5750/5770/5850/5870 all share the exact same .4ns memory so expect 1200mhz or so overclocks.

    Thought the idea was the the 5850 would use cheaper memory and not the same as the 5870, is this not the case?

    Perhaps memory overclocking will really help with the limited 128bit memory interface on the 5750/70 cards. Just hope they can be overvolted otherwise the prospects for these cards are not quite as good as I would hope.

    I think the 5770 will have to be more than just increased clock speed to justify its price though. A bump in the number of ROPS etc would definately be beneficial.

    Don't remember TBH. There are quite a few discussions going on regarding these 2 cards it's hard to keep track.
