Hi all, I recently upgraded my PC to a 64 bit setup using the trial WinXP Pro x64. Looking good but there are still some problems. Finding the driver for my wireless network adptor is one of them. I am using a cheapo Safecom SWLU-5400 USB 2.0 wireless adptor. It seems the manufacturer isnt planning to release 64 bit driver for this product any time soon. So I am wondering is there a universal driver for this kind of device? If so where can I get download one? Thanks a lot.
Lo there, According to Google the card you have is based on a ZyDAS 1211 Chipset USB dongle I had a looksee (their site is terrible) downloaded it from an alternate source and put it on my web space try this http://wyvern971.f2s.com/USB1211.zip
Thanks a lot Wyvern! It worked! I am posting this on the new OS now. Its got no Anti-Virus though. I heard that there is only one 64bit virus out there, which is harmless anyway, so 64 bit AV programmes are not really needed. Is that true?
Your Welcome Avast do a 64 bit AV program, as do NOD32 (works in 64bit anyway) Avast is free and works fine for me
