6950 wont display image in windows

The card works fine in bios but as soon as it enters windows i dont get a display.

Even during windows install the card works fine until restart after the windows files are copied, then it stops displaying imagine again.

i can boot into safe mode all ok, just not normally.

Sapphire 6950 2gb
windows 8
asus P8z68
2700k cpu
16gb ram
