Funny enough after my 3090 fe, I no longer need a fan pointed at my dimms. My oc profile is 65% fanspeed and it nicely cools down my ram. I run 1.53v on my bdie.

One thing to add, my old 850w psu was giving me instability while the new ax1000 made everything work nicely again. It seems the transient spikes on the 3090 are quite notable.

I have ordered new 3600 CL16 8Pack RAM to see if using it at XMP is stable. I even had to replace my Noctua NHU12S air cooler as the hot air form the GPU under load raised the CPU temperatures from low - mid 70s, to high 70s - low 80s. My case is a Fractal Design Mesify-C, so air flow was not an issue.

OK, well I pushed my ram to 1.5v and (only had one play session) but so far so good.

I played watch Dogs Legion for 3hrs and there was no issues what so ever.

Got my Team Group DDR4 3600 CL16 32GB delivered. Loaded DOCP profile and it works at a decent performance, thgough the latency is a tad high. DOCP settings are 16, 16, 16, 38. I set mine to 16, 16, 16, 32 and reduced trfc to 288. Latency dropped from 69.7 to 57.8 according to AIDA64. I know my other 3200 CL14 RAM could be tuned to similar levels, but I just got tired of tuning and testing for hours after every new BIOS update.

Now I just load DOCP and get good performance. I can set TRAS, TRC and TRFC in a few seconds for some quick latency tuning and it's ready to go.

Looking at the 32GB 3600 C14 specifically as the best of the bunch. Now to just hope it gets released unlike the other 32GB ARGB kits.

On another note I'm looking for full dimensions of the G. SKill Trident Z RGB/Neo most notably the width. Anyone got numbers? Can't find anything on Google just height.

That 3600 CL14 kit looks very tasty... only problem is my left kidney is already reserved for a gfx card, and not sure I can spare both!

Interesting that there is no specific mention of Samsung B-die, which always attracts positive attention.

with that voltage the 3600 CL14 doesn't really impress me much, cheap steel series 4000 vipers can do that.

Steel Series Viper 4000 is Samsung B-die too. Of course there are other B-die sticks that can match these specs, but not all can. However, being sold with such aggressive timing indicates (to me at least) that they are using high binned chips, which may also mean potential for pushing even further, which is when a real differentiation might be seen... of course, YMMV.

Hey everyone, I need an advice. I have purchased TEAM GROUP RIPPED EDITION 16GB (2X8GB) DDR4 PC4-28800C14 3600MHZ DUAL CHANNEL KIT - BLACK (https://www.overclockers.co.uk/team...3600mhz-dual-channel-kit-black-my-001-8p.html) and installed it into the newly purchased ROG STRIX X570-F (https://www.overclockers.co.uk/asus...4-x570-chipset-atx-motherboard-mb-6du-as.html) with Ryzen 7 5800X. Am I correct to assume that I should expect 3600Mhz at CAS 14-15-15-35 right out of the box when I set AI Overclock Tuner to DOCP in BIOS? It shows correct memory frequency and timings in BIOS, but when I save and reboot, it goes into restart loop. I tried reducing memory frequency and the highest I can get without triggering the restart loop is 3266Mhz. I have not played with any other settings. What could be an issue and what should I try?

@Emad You are correct. Two things to try, pretty basic ones but usually the simplest answer is the correct one.

1: Make sure you are in slots 2 and 4.
2: Make sure geardown mode is enabled.

What setup are you running. I have the 4x8 CL16 3600 Team Group 8 Pack kit. Running 16-16-16-34 with a trfc of 275,204,169 and I'm at 65.6 according to Aida?

tRAS at 34 as the suggestion is tRAS = tCL + tRCD(RD) + 2... else you get a latency penalty.

Also, trfc 2 and 4 worked out using the 1.346 and 1.625 guidelines....

I did a BIOS update recently on my Asus X570 TUF Gamin Plus. So I am running basic DOCP right now and to be fair wouldn't notice the difference unless I ran a CB benchmark. These sticks are doing exactly what I wanted, they allow me to get my PC up and running after a BIOS update within minutes rather than hours. Previously I would have had to retune the 3200 CL14 stuff to 3600 CL16 and then do loads of stability tests.

If you are using 4x stick of dual rank is that the cause of the latency if it is dropping to 2T?

Maybe try with 2X stick in slots 2 and 4 to see if latency improves.

Thanks you very much. I had it installed in slots 1 and 3 due to overhanging cables. After I have re-cabled it and put it in slots 2 and 4 I was able to increase the frequency to the advertised 3600 without any issues.

For reference, I see a significant improvement in Cinebench R23 (MC: 14794, SC: 1560) and latency in AIDA64 test went from 70 ns to 65.5 ns. Nothing else is overclocked in my system.
