In this thread I am going to be posting about the benching I am doing including Scores, Points earned and Rig pics for anyone in the forums to comment and ask questions.

This weekend I had limited but some time to bench. I am currently looking for Hardware points which means benching hardware that many have benched before and trying to beat current records. You get more points for popular hardware that is why I choose accordingly and focus my efforts.

I am currently benching an ATI HD 5770.

Here is a pic of the card set up in the Ivy Z77, Maximus V Xtreme, G.SKILLTrident X, Antec PSU Rig for 05 with -100 cascade on graphics and -120 Cascade on CPU. For 03 I use Corsair Dominater PSC based Dimms.

and here is a shot of the-120 CPU cascade compared to the Intel box heatsink!!!

In the session with this hardware I got two silver cups which in short means I am second in the world with this card and both 3D mark 03 and 05 Benchmarks. On both occasions taking the card to nearly 1300mhz which is a good improvement over stock 875.

I then switched to RIVE and 3930K at 5.686ghz for some 06 with the same card and managed to take a world record. For this I switched RAM to quad channel team Xtreme 2600 kit, which tunes very very well around 2450.

So all in I am very pleased with my first bench session while representing OCUK. One world record and two very close with almost 120 Hardware points for my efforts.

nice set of stats and achievements, wish i'd had you build my latest build as could have done with more of a boost, always nice to see an UK World record

That's badass. Just to give anyone new who's looking at this some perspective, my 3dmark 06 score from a few years back with the same card and an E8400 at 4.5GHz is here

quite a lot lower

In fact, even my 2500K and 5850, both heavily overclocked, only scored under 20,000 :eek:

That's ridiculous. Nearly 5 times my little old E8400 which was running maxed out lol. Poor little guy started degrading after a couple years

How long do your chips last under that kind of abuse? Just how much protection does your silicon get when you have those voltages bursting through the seams?

That chip I have had ages although is not nearly my best. I am going to run 03 and 05 again with my best chip to take the records. Then I will do Aquamark and 01 with this config too. As both of those are heavy CPU bound I leave the best chip for them.

Once thats done I have a great 4890 to do full benches with.

Then multi card 680's after that!!!!

Do you use the cascade system on the sli 680s? Do you have to use pci-e extenders to fit it?

No for multiple cards I use chilled water.

These days anything above two cards is CPU limited anyway on 3D 11, Vantage and Unigine.

This weekend I did not have too much time to bench. Just tried to improve afew scores from last week and then put the 4890 on cascade.

Here we see improvements in 03 and 05 on 5770 both still ranked second globally.

I also did some Aqua mark with the 5770 taking third place in the global rankings with the CPU well over 6ghz.

Next I intend to hit a full set of 3D benches on this 4890 card which looking at the above result should net me more HWpoints on the bot. Vantage and 06 on X79 is coming!!!

Dual 8 Core Xeon Wprime action!!! 150watt TDP on AIR!!!

Not an overclocking board for this one but I got abit out of it for third in the world on the 1024m WPrime and 5th for 32mb Wprime!!!

Whats going on with the memory in the second screen? Its reporting as 600mb in quad?

I know its windows XP which is the best OS for this bench but CPU-Z goes crazy.

Its the ASUS Dual but I am going for SR X next week, oh and SR 2 with dual cascade CPU goodness.

Really pleased with this weekends efforts!!!! This puts me in the top ten Pro Overclockers world wide. HWbot upgraded my status to Pro Overclock which is the top Overclocking league when I joined OCUK.

Just saw these results. That's just ridiculous. Congrats on the pro status! I'll bet there's a fair pucker factor when you're running those benches and praying it doesn't crash out.

Thanks mate. I am at number ten currently. Maybe upto 6 by end of weekend. LN2 has arrived and 6.9ghz Ivy in hand!!!!
