Did abit of LN2 benching this weekend. Did some Super Pi 1mb and 3D Mark 03 and Unigen with three Lightening 7970 cards on the Giga UP7. This chip has more in it for sure now I have the OC Bios for the UP7 that allows higher ranges on voltages. The UP7 performed great though no cold bug even on LN2. In this session I managed to snag a top two ever score for 3D Mark 03 a top four ever score for Unigine and a top 25 score for pi 1mb with the 3770K at over 6.750ghz. The CPU has more in it too with the new bios so I try to improve this at the weekend!!!

Pics of the Rig. The first is for 1mb and 2D benches the others are with 7970 in place. I bench 4 cards too on this rig next session in 03,05,06 and Unigine.

The Top 1mb its at 6860mhz, Pifast is at 6750mhz and 32mb it at 6710mhz. Its capable of 6820mhz pi32mb and Pifast but this comes later I am sandbagging results for HWbot Pro cup. Which requires both 32mb and Pifast of the 5 disciplines.

The 1mb is at the top CPU frequency this Ivy is capable of.

OCNpro Just got our team together. I will be benching next Monday and Tuesday for it. Several of these are practice runs.

Looks like I may now be benching LN2 at Gadget show so I am gonna try do some Pro cup stuff for the punters who come down. CPU and RAM on LN2 for 32mb.

Some company's support me yes.

Vendors are great and very helpful.

Ultimately though I do pay for a lot of hardware even if its supported in the fact that Vendors expect me to promote the products I bench with and assist users of the hardware. I do so in forums and via HWbot but all this takes time.

Also the cooling equipment I use costs a lot and electricity is not cheap too!!!

I don't really see the point in benchmarking myself, but I respect the dedication you put into it and the knowledge and practical skills required.

I think it's a good thing for manufacturers not to give hardware to benchmarkers as it opens the possibility of the cherry-picking hardware for certain benchers. That wouldn't be fair.
