Normally, I set off from the house at 9:15am to get to work for 9:30.

The receptionist is off this week and next, so I said I'd come in for 9 to open up and get everything sorted.

For the past 2 days, when I've had to be at the office for 9, I've left the house around 8:40.

Yesterday, I was coming around a small roundabout while indicating. I had just changed my indicators to show that I was coming off at the approaching exit (yes, that's how close it was) when this stupid stupid woman decides to pull out in front of me!

I beeped the horn to show my annoyance and she stuck her middle finger up at me

Then today, just after that same roundabout, I was waiting at a set of lights entering a large crossroads. I was going straight across.

On the other side of the crossroads (where I was heading) it changes from double to single file traffic quite abruptly. I've seen people squeeze in and force people out of the way and it's always shocked me.

Anyway, today, it happened to me. A car to the left of me was indicating to pull in so I slowed down and let them in. Next thing, this Pug 306 decides to come screaming up along my passenger side forcing me to brake hard. If I hadn't, the driver (again, a woman  ) would have either smacked into the curb or gone straight into my front wing.

I leant on the horn and flashed my lights twice to show my anger.

WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH THESE MORONS?!?!?!

The next person who cuts me up or pulls out on me, I'm so tempted to chase after them, block their exit and then get out and ask them what the hell they were playing at.

Going home from work I face similar things. Just last week I had 2 buses pull out on my at roundabouts. And no, it's not my driving. I know how to use roundabouts and when to indicate showing my change in direction.

If anyone of these idiots decides they want to write my car off, I'll happily take my anger out on them!

/Rant over

Almost exactly the same thing as in the 2nd incident happened to me whilst I was coming home from Oxford a few weeks ago. Set of traffic lights with 2 lanes, signs stating outside lane is closing in 50 yards. Loads of people go in the outside lane, I let one of them in then at the last second this idiot in an old escort with a backbox comes screaming past me and I have to slam on the brakes so he doesn't hit the cones. I was absolutely livid! My gf was in the car with me and said she wouldn't have stopped! This guy then proceeded to cut someone up at the roundabout down the road, at which he did a U-turn.

I have a bit of sympathy with bus drivers. Buses are slow and cumbersome. The drivers also get fined if they are too late, or too early at any particular bus stop. Buses are also damn hard to drive. However they shouldn't just pull out on you if you have right of way.

Here a funny thing.
I live about 30 mins drive from the big smoke (AKA london) now ,I have noticed, that when i leave my house at 0745 the drivers and ruder and more aggressive than at 0830.
City drivers maybe? I don't see why people loose their brains when they get in a car or a tesco's car park.

I find half of my driving ability now revolves around predicting what awful thing someone will do next in a car around me.

Thats nothing, I've been followed by an old man who was flashing his lights repeatedly and beeping his horn whilst being glued to my bumper. I pulled over and asked what was wrong and he went mental. Saying I'm too young to be driving, (I'm 19) and my car was illegal. When I asked why, he said it didn't have two reverse lights.

What a maniac, I just drove off laughing.

I think the roads are getting worse.

On the way back from work today I got cut up by some fat woman (her passenger had her hands over her face lol)

i think i ****** her off by stopping in the road for 2 mins and not letting her past! :D

Last week I was driving home at about 5pm.
I reached the purley cross coming from croydon down brighton road.

For those of you who don't know it I have drawn a crappy picture.

Red dots indicated traffic lights and as you can see most of it is one way and the road is about 3 lanes wide at most points.

Anyway I was car number 2 in a queue of traffic waiting for the lights to change at point A. The lights change (There is quite a long delay between reds and greens here because at peak times you get a fair bit of traffic buildup between the lights so they try and get it to clear). The car in front moves forward, then a car at point B trys to pull between us whilst accelerating hard. This woman was behind her set of lights which had been red for a good 10 seconds.

The thing that got me was that after I jumped on the brakes she started swearing at me? Its not my fault you made a complete tit of yourself. The only thing that really annoys me is that there arn't any red light cameras anywhere round there - probably because they think that nobody is stupid enough to try and pull out in front of 3 lanes of moving traffic...

Really? What company is that?

I know that the Northern up in the NE don't have such rules - if a bus is late enough it will be sent onto it's next turn rather than running an hour late or whatever. I can see why running early would be a problem though! :)

I think its just the early morning that makes people angry... unless they are all late for work. I've noticed since lowering my car that they hate slower drivers! I have to take it easy over speed bumps on my way to work yet I have for the past 3 days had people literally glued to my bumper weaving left to right trying to hurry me up.... speed bumps make you go slower!!!!! I see people just hurtling over these bumps and I think to myself why? Save an extra 5 minutes and knack your suspension. It just pee's me off. But I don't speed up! :p I slowly accelerate back up to 30 and if they wanna get round they usually do. So ANNOYING!!!!!!

I get a company provided Coach to work at 7:45 and if it waited for every roundabout or junction to be clear before it pulled out we would still be waiting there at lunchtime !!

Most of the time car drivers drive too fast around roundabouts anyway, so when it looks clear it’s not 2 seconds later as a car comes screeching around at 40mph.

You just have to learn to be more tolerant during rush hour times

haha funny stuff.

Everytime I drive theres a moron doing something stupid. Some fat chick pulled in on me like it happened to you and she showed no remorse or worry that I had to slam on and swerve so I just got infront and drove 5mph for 5 minutes till she turned off.

Today im driving normal and a bus immediatly indicates and drives off and didnt wait for me, I just missed a car turning right. Needless to say I wasnt pleased so I made him have some discomfort till he went on the wrong side of the road to cut me. I used to just pass these things off but theyre getting to me now, its like they seek to destroy/own the roads. Like my objective: Get to place A, theirs: Get to place A no matter what speed or who you annoy, as YOU OWN THE ROAD.
