No you are correct there technically.

The bats are of the mamalian order Chiroptera, while rodents are of the mamalian order Rodentia.

But I still wouldn't cuddle one to sleep.

I had a bat once, i assume it got in via the loft. Also had a mole once that the cat brought in.

Been there! I had a bat in my living room last year and did pretty much the same as you! It wouldn't fly out the window so I got some gardening gloves on and grabbed it to chuck it out. Scared the hell out of me when I first discovered it though.
