I remeber playing the original settlers on the amiga, them where the days (was a brilliant game ).

So do I lol, it was a brilliant game and was so addictive.

Colonization (another fav of mine)

I agree, it was an amazing game, had it on the Amiga.

Theres also games like Pharaoh and Ceasar III which are ancient city building games (and the games are ancient too ) but there are also parts where you have to defend your city from attacks by surrounding cities and empires.
