hi all, i am having problems with my socket a system, i have plugged in my sata drive, the bios sees it and everything, however i cant get it in windows,
this is my drive with all my music etc on it and a lot of stuff for work that i have backed up, my main system has no cpu at the moment so i cannot plug it into there either.
i really need the stuff off this drive!

the only driver on the disk for the board is a java sata raid driver. no good!

i cannot find any sata enable in the bios but when i boot up my pc, it recognises the drive before windows boots up, can anyone help me??

google search for sata drivers...
find the official site...
download the latest, install them....

comon problem with asus mobos in not torecognise sata harddrive during windows instalation... in which cases you will find detailed instruction on SATA sites on how to make a floppy disk with just the necessary file in order to succedd in just that... windows to recognise sata drives

another idea... install Partition magic .. does it find it...?
you may have just lost the partiotion... ie.. no active NTFS file syste..
it has happen to me out of the blue...
which unfortonatelly mean that yo will loose all ** files...

best of luck... hope these where of some help
