Does anyone know whether the AcceleroX1 cooler fits onto a BFG 7900GT?

Artic Cooling's site says that its not compatible with most 7900's, so I'm not too hopeful.
The noise from the non throttling fan is doing my head in and I need something quieter.

    Any suggestions?

Have you considered the Zalman VF900?

    Yep should be!

I've got the VF700Cu on my X800Pro and it was very easy to fit and very quiet on 5V

What were they thinking not making it 7900GT compatible? They've dropped a clanger with that one.

    Get a VF900.

Why do AC say it doesn't fit most 7900GT's on their website then? The capacitor/voltage regs layout is different to the GTXs.

Yeah, I didn't want to splash out then find it wouldn't fit on the card.

Got the 7900 cos of the lower power consumption and cooler running chip.
Thus wasn't expecting the fan running 100% all the time!

The Zalman is looking like the only option atm.
