ad blocker

    can anyone recommend a good ad blocker thats easy to use/set up?

    If you're using Firefox: adblock plus. Blocks all the nasty adverts on websites easily :)

    IE im afraid, although i am quite tempted by firefox... :D

    I posted this sorta question last week....

    ended up doing some research on download.com and found adsgone is still the most popular one... does the job nicely with popup/ads/viruses and spyware popups even.

    I used to use a program called MyIE a while back, it's now called Maxthon. It has a Ad Filter/Popup blocker. Very effective when i used it and easy to add sites or source sites of ads/popups to the block list.

    It uses the IE engine, so i never had any probs rendering websites, worked exactly same way as using IE normally.

    I'd recommend it as worth a try if you've time. Takes a little getting used to, and i disabled the skin feature straight away. :)

    thx il check those out, i used to use Proxomitron wihch did ads amongst other things but I was to hot on how to configure it so some websites didnt work :eek:
