OK, Long story short....
PC with Intel USB Modem, Pipex 2Mb connection.
Has been working fine since install (6mths+). All of a sudden, drops out.
Quick (hmmm, -ish) call to pipex later, and get supplied with backup freephone 56K dialup to use whilst problem is being sorted.
Now here is the freaky part. If I connect the dialup, the DSL then connects ALONGSIDE it (i.e. two connections in the toolbar). Disconnect the dialup, and the DSL vanishes straight after.
Anyone seem this before, because I certainly havent, Seems like a COM issue, but Im not so sure.
