I've had various missed calls from the number 08444823333 over the past couple of weeks.

I just had a call from that number which i answered and the conversation went like this:

Me: Hello

Caller: this is kate from advanced mobiles i'm sorry for the inconvenience, one of our operators will call you back shortly

the caller then hangs up before i can say anything

WTF is going on?

have i just been scammed and acepted a reverse charging call thats costs me 50 million pounds once connected!!!

Prior to today i was curious of the number and had googled it but nothing came up - so i figured if were a scam then there would be plenty of info about it!

I received a call exactly the same to that about a week ago although I didnt take notice of the number. I thought it might be one of them mass calling things where they talk to the first person that answered and just played a recorded message to everyone else.

I think there was a discussion about that on here a few weeks ago.
