Hi Guys and Gals, I need a bit of advice.
I bought a car from a friend a few days ago and taxed it for 6 months (starting in May) using the V5C/2.
They haven't sent off the V5C yet, so the car is still in their name.
The car had a major breakdown while I was driving it yesterday and isn't worth the cost of repair, so I want to scrap it.
Can I scrap the car without it being in my name, or should I get my friend to scrap it even though we have both signed the V5C?
More importantly, will I get my tax refunded.
