I'm one of the few who actually prefers Binary Finary '99 to 1998.

BTW, Oakenfold did do a mix of Bullet in the Gun in 2000 or possibly very early 2001.

I know Trance Nation is regarded as cheese by some, but for me there's some absolute killer tunes in this lot:

1. Children - Miles, Robert
2. Out Of The Blue - System F
3. No Man's Land - DJ Sakin & Friends
4. Storm - Storm
5. Dark And Long - Underworld
6. Age Of Love - Age Of Love
7. Can't Help Myself - Lucid
8. Pearl River - Johnny Shaker
9. Revelation - Electrique Boutique
10. Your Face - Slacker
11. Believe - Traveller & In Motion
12. Invisible - Tilt
13. Endless Wave - Kamaya Painters
14. Neuro - X-Cabs
15. Andalucia Sunset - Amethyst
16. Sunflakes - 2HD
17. Cream - Blank & Jones
18. Happiness Happening - Lost Witness
19. Wide Open Space - Mansun
20. Offshore - Chicane
21. Salva Mea - Faithless
22. Cafe Del Mar - Energy 52
23. For An Angel - Van Dyk, Paul
24. Seven Days And One Week - BBE
25. Loving You More - BT
26. Gift - Way Out West
27. Be As One - Sasha & Maria
28. Madagascar - Art Of Trance
29. Don't Be Afraid - Moonman
30. Twilo Thunder - Breeder
31. 9pm (Till I Come) - ATB
32. Bulgarian - Travel
33. World - Pulp Victim
34. Venus Of My Dreams - Airwave
35. Wide Eyed Angel - Origin
36. Papua New Guinea - Future Sound Of London

Nice! That Humate song is a tune!...if it's the one i think it is! Will go investigate. Which ES album is it?

Edit: all of those are good tunes!
Edit: except the DJ Sakin one...never liked that.

Not sure, I've only got the 2nd CD of 2, labelled 'Pete Tong - Essential Selection', it would've been released around 99/00.

edit: T&R says it's Essential Selection Spring 99.

Stay Free - The Clash
Affirmation - Savage Garden
Can't Say Crap on the Radio - SLF
Alternative Ulster - SLF
At the Edge - SLF

The only difference between 98, 99 and 2000 is the remixes that came on the cd/vinyl. If you prefer the 99 version chances are it's the matt darey remix. Personally i think the original 98 classic mix is best, with the gouryella 2000 mix coming second :)

You might be interested to hear binary finary are releasing an album soon.

Yep. Hate the track though - bad ex girlfriend memories!

Blasphemy the lot of you! :p

98 PvD mix is the best of all 20 million official and unofficial remixes out there ;)

It's also the track that singlehandedly got me into trance

and there was me thinking you had good taste :p

Gouryella would be my second favourite, but the first time I heard th PvD mix, back in 1998 on winamp version 1, it sent tingles up my wee 15 year old spine, and I havent looked back since.

It's still my second favourite track of all time :D

Anthems, anthems, anthems.

where do you start with something like this?!

Some awesome tunes off top of my head....

Lost Witness - Seven Colours
Thrillseekers - Synaesthesia
4 Strings - Desire
Pulsedriver - Galaxy
Tiesto - Suburban Train & Lethal Industry
Ayla - Ayla

thats some of them, there are hundreds more.

but if any of you are into the sort of mid to late 90's ibiza trance era, check this mix out in another thread. http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17566270
