I was first of all surpised any team could get away with that title, but quickly remembering the All Blacks I wondered if either were new today they could use those names.

I think it's mostly named like that due to them playing in fully white outfits.

Oddly enough i was watching an old series of Mock the Week where they had Jarred Christmas on it (NZ Comedian) and it coincided with the 2010 World Cup and they had the link of how sports teams in NZ jumped on the success of the All Blacks Rugby team and unfortunately the All Whites was the name they gave to their 'soccer team'.

However, my all time favourite inappropriately named football team from when i played Sensible Soccer / Championship Manager back in 94 was this one...............https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dangerous_Darkies :eek:
